ABR – Accredited Buyer Representative

This designation is awarded from REBAC, The Real Estate Buyer Agency Council. The designation requires course work and documentation of completed transactions where the buyer was represented.

CDPE – Certified Distressed Property Expert
Over the past several years you didn’t have to go very far to hear about someone in financial distress. With the downturn in the economy, many people could not sell their home, many others faced foreclosure. A Certified Distressed Property Expert has the experience to offer assistance to avoid losing your home.

CRS – Certified Residential Specialist
Awarded by the Residential Sales Council of the National Association of Realtors. Only 4% of Realtors nationwide have earned this designation. This designation is earned after extensive study and this documentation of years of transactions.

GRI – Graduate Realtor Institute
This designation is like a masters degree in real estate. In our area, it is controlled by a tri-state council and consists of different modules of course work that pertain to the individual practice of the Individual Realtor.

IRES – International Real Estate Specialist
This designation was designed to create a global network of “co-promoting” agents who can help their clients buy or sell real estate anywhere and everywhere. It’s based on complete cooperation among agents from different nations. Because of the experience level of its agents and the wide international coverage in the United States this training is only available to RE/MAX Agents.
